William Robert Thiele

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Willy Thiele. An active day extended into a relaxing evening when Willy suffered a massive stroke and passed away on the evening of August 27th, 2021.

Willy was born and raised in Flin Flon, MB. He spent his early years there. His final years were spent living in Portage la Prairie. Willy was a brilliant man and had such a keen interest in science. He was always inventing something to make an everyday task easier. He was such a health aware guy that was always studying vitamins, herbs, and home concoctions, along with gardening. He had many other interests as well.

Willy was a great loving husband and family man. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and anyone in need. He was a quiet laid-back man. He would want us all to keep his memory alive by sharing stories and giving one another support.

He was predeceased by his parents Erna and Anton Thiele. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Theresa (nee Perchak), son Adam Breckman, step son Todd Lander, step-daughter Kendra Toews, granddaughter Shayla Toews, twin brother Tony,  brother Alzar (Judy), sisters Sonia (Moe) Putney, Sandy Ungarian, and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will take place at Hillside Memorial Gardens on September 4th, 2021. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Intensive Care Unit, 150 McTavish Ave E. Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3.
