Wilda Marie Ducharme

On Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 at the Portage District General Hospital, Wilda Marie Ducharme passed away at the age of 78 years old with her family by her side.

Wilda was born on February 9th, 1944 in Portage La Prairie, MB. She grew up in St.Ambroise, MB where she received her education and later met the love of her life Antoine (Tony) Ducharme. They married on September 30th, 1961 and had a family of 5 children. Wilda enjoyed many things but some of her favorites were sewing, gardening, cleaning, cooking delicious dinners for her family, decorating her home for Christmas, watching wrestling with her husband and son Donald on Monday nights and listening to her records and cassette tapes while having her morning coffee or cleaning her house.

Wilda was predeceased by two daughters Shelly and baby Ducharme, her little brother Donald, father William St. Goddard, brother Carl St.Goddard, sister Helen St.Goddard, mother and father-in-law Philip and Aldea Ducharme, brothers and sisters in law Edward Ducharme, Wally Ducharme, Ralph (Beatrice) Ducharme, Phyllis Tessier-Ducharme, Anita and Leo Ducharme, Alma Ducharme (JC Ostendorf), Molly Ducharme (Bob Saltise), Maryanne Blanchard (Ducharme) and Freddie Ducharme.

Wilda leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Antoine (Tony Sr) Ducharme, Children; Anthony Jr (Gail) Ducharme, Donald Ducharme, Charlene Ducharme, grandchildren Chantelle (Eric) Ducharme, Jonathan (Ericka) Ducharme, Justin (Kate) Ducharme, Donnisha Beaulieu- Ducharme, Theresa (Craig) Ducharme, Matthew Ducharme, great grandchildren Gunnar and Anna-lyn Ducharme, Jaylah Ducharme-Young and Jaxton Young, Bronxton and Matthew Jr Ducharme, twin sister Wilna (Reg) Ducharme, brother Jerry (Rose) St.Goddard. Brothers and sisters in law Ben (Donna) Ducharme, Alphonse (Patricia) Ducharme, Claire (Arny) Holben, Theresa St.Goddard, Cathy Ducharme, Richard Ducharme, Special Aunt Evelyn Ducharme (St.Goddard) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thank you to Dr. Finney and the other doctors that worked along with him and the nurses for the care you provided to our mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 15th, at 11:00 a.m. at the St Ambroise Catholic Church, St. Ambroise MB. Burial will follow at the St. Ambroise Cemetery, followed by the reception at the St. Ambroise Community Centre.
