Valerie was born in St. Lazare, Manitoba on September 24th, 1959 to parents Irene and Maurice Belhumeur.
Valerie met the love of her life, Joe Fiddler, at a young age. They had two beautiful children, Stacey and Rose-anna, resulting in four grandchildren, Darien, Madison, Dominic and Blaze. Valerie thought the world of her grandchildren and always spoke so dearly about them. Valerie worked at MDC for 30+ years, retiring in May, 2023.
Valerie leaves behind her husband Joe, son Stacey (Tanya) and daughter Rose-anna, brothers Jerome, Clarence, Willy, Joseph (Sarah), sister Dorothy (Rob), nephew Robbie, niece Amanda and many more family, friends, nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the doctors involved in Valerie’s care and the staff on the Medical Ward at Portage District General Hospital.
In keeping with Valerie’s request, there will be no funeral.
Valerie asked that you remember her by feeding the birds and the animals and showing care for the less fortunate.
Ronald Moffit Memorial Services entrusted with arrangements.
