Tarrel Rene Miller, age 76, of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Tarrel, also known as Terry, was born in Scotland, South Dakota to Glenn and Rita Hein Miller (Handel). He was a Travelling Deacon with Global Missions Inc., spreading the word of the gospel to many locations around the world.
Tarrel was known for his charismatic style of ministry, captivating multitudes, bringing them to Christ including over the airwaves with his radio broadcast Sharon Gospel Hour.
He was also a former politician serving two terms in the South Dakota House of Representatives.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and stepfather Milton Handel and son-in-law Thomas Tazewell.
Tarrel is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Ingrid Martinez Miller; children, Lawrence Miller (Shari) of Texas, Joseph Miller of Manitoba, and Sharon Miller Tazewell of New Jersey; grandchildren Brady Hofer (Christine) of Manitoba, Justice Reynolds of North Carolina, Candis Leatherman Tazewell of North Carolina, Victor Tazewell and Ariel Tazewell of New Jersey, Alexander Miller, Avianna Miller and Andreas Miller of Texas; great-grandchildren Alaina Reynolds, Noela Reynolds and Lillah Reynolds all of North Carolina; and siblings Deono (Lonna) of South Dakota, Teresa Handel-Linn of Texas, and Rena (Bruce) Oster of Colorado; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family viewing.
A public memorial will take place Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00am at Royal Crescent Christian Assembly, 269 Royal Crescent, Winkler, Manitoba, Canada.
As Tarrel would say, “Come as you are. All are welcome.”
