Obituary

Suddenly on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, Steve Allen Joe Timony, born January 20th, 1965, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Steve was predeceased by his father Albert Timony, mother Cècile Timony (nee Allarie), brother Glen Timony, and father-in-law Ron Cornick.

Left to love and miss him “The Wife” Tonya (Toad) Timony. Sons: Faron Timony (Desiree), grandson Finnegan, Joshua Timony (Carissa), grandson Alistair, and chosen son Kyler Attwood. Daughter: “The light of his life” Victoria Timony. Brothers: Trevor Timony (Shae, Mackayla), Dwayne & Jen Timony (Melissa, Sammy, Nick) and last but not least, Cassie, Sebastian, Donnie and Dianne; his furry children that he loved so very much.

Steve Timony worked as a bricklayer, equipment operator, but most famously as a truck driver; his true passion in life was driving truck, he loved being on the road. Steve made many friends throughout his many, many (no, seriously, like MANY) jobs over the years. Steve worked hard, and put in many hours, but he loved every second of his work and made sure that his all was put into every job he had. If he had a choice, all of those hours would have been in reverse, he could back up a set of super-B’s like no other; we were subject to so many stories of him backing up the truck in near-impossible situations.

Steve and I had great friends, the long and lasting kind, whom have proven that over and again with their overwhelming love and support over these heart wrenching days.

Steve was the oldest of the “Timony Boys” - there’s some stories, but we don’t have enough paper for that. His love for his brothers ran deep and true, he was so proud to be their big brother.

As Steve was getting older, he missed being home, the plan was to slow down and spend more time getting in trouble with his grandsons, puttering around the yard. By the way, yes, I did notice that you didn’t fix the sink before you left; God had other plans for you, my love. We will do our best to make great memories, do the things you wanted to do in life, taking you along the way with us - that’s a figure of speech, actually taking you with us would be weird. You asked us to not spend our days crying for you; we are doing our best, but you were our everything, so it’s not so simple of a request. I do agree to play that annoying Dwight Yokem song for you at your service, only because I love you so much.

For those who would like to come and share stories (yikes!), drink some coffee and have a bite to eat (let’s be honest, we all love funeral sandwiches), we will be holding the service at:

The MNP Building on the Island Park, Portage la Prairie, Saturday, June 4th @ 2:00pm.

For once, yes, Steve will actually be on time to have coffee with you.
