Rose Pongoski

Peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, with family by her side, mom passed away at the Portage General Hospital at the age of 78 years.

Rose was born in the Hillsberg Municipality and grew up in the Rapid City area.  She was a hairdresser by trade and also worked at Woolworth’s, RP Autobody and Manitoba Crop Insurance until her retirement.  Rose was an avid curler in her younger years and later on never missed a curling game on TV.  She loved reading, camping and cheering on her favourite slow pitch team with the girls.

Predeceased by her parents Nellie and Mike Titanich, her bother Mervin, sister Zena and in-laws Larry, Don, George, Sadie and Keith, she leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Roger, son Kent, daughter Kyla (Ken), granddaughter Merissa (James), sisters; Joni and Evelyn and in-laws; Ted (Noreen), Joan and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

As per Rose’s wishes, no formal funeral will be held.  Should friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to Sunset Palliative Care, Inc. P. O. Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3B2
