Robert Wayne Young

After a valiant effort to conquer his illness, Robert Wayne Young crossed over to be with Our Lord.

Left to mourn his passing are his six children. Blair (Jill), Robin (Memory), April (Shawn), Holly (Wade) Colleen (Matt) and Stewart (Kala). His grandchildren Drayton, Brooklyn, Tiyanna, Mitchell, Addisyn, Daliya, Delaney, Lennox, Mason, Reid, Jaxon, Lilly and Great-Grandson Jameson.

Robert will also be missed terribly by his siblings Eric, Arthur, Donnie, Sharon, Faron, Bonnie, Kevin, Laura, Anna, Carmen, Marion, Shirley-Mae and Jason as well as all their spouses.

Robert was predeceased by his Father Jimmy Young, his Mother Dorothy Young and his Sister Darlene.

Robert grew up in Silver Ridge in a very large, loving family.  They played and worked together, building and fixing and pitching in with gardening, canning, hauling wood and water for drinking and laundry, and walking to Granny's with his brothers for eggs and milk, and the perfect cup of tea.

Robert was always scanning for treasures as he walked and he found many.  However, his most cherished treasures were his children and grandchildren. He was devoted to them, and happiest with them.  He was an excellent hunter, loved fishing and provided for his family abundantly.

Robert was the Owner/Operator of North Route Bus Line and delivered mail for Canada Post for many years. He loved farming however, his heart was in road building. He loved to tell his passengers that they were on a road that he had built, especially if he had won an award for it.

Robert thrilled family and friends whenever he would pick up his guitar and treat us all with his amazing talent. He was a gentleman, a loyal friend and a favorite Uncle.

Robert will be unspeakably missed for all these reasons and many more.  Rest In Peace With Our Love.

A Private Family Interment has taken place at the Silver Ridge Bible Chapel Cemetery.

There will be a Celebration of Robert's Life on Friday, April 30, 2021. Details will be announced at that time.
