Richard Trent Pressey
Born: December 3, 1955, Winnipeg, MB.
Passed Away: January 7, 2026, at his residence in Portage la Prairie, MB.
Richard Trent Pressey was one of four children. He owned and operated the Burger Shack in Portage la Prairie, later called Kelly’s Burgers, a well-known place in the community in its day, remembered for its burgers and poutine.
For the past 15 years, Richard worked as a long-distance truck driver, traveling throughout Western Canada and the United States. He took two years away from driving to build his retirement home on Pine Crescent in Portage la Prairie, which he sold a few months ago due to declining health.
In his later years, Richard visited a few friends and had coffee with Dave Rodgers and Norm Thiessen, and often spoke about places he had traveled and about his Ukrainian heritage.
Richard was predeceased by his father, Orest Pressey; his mother, Adeline Pressey; and his sister, Nancy (Nusya).
Richard will be remembered by those who knew him.
Interment will take place at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to Ronald Moffit Memorial Services of Portage la Prairie, MB.
