Peacefully, on Saturday December 7th, 2024, Norman Granger passed away at Lion’s Manor in Winnipeg, MB.
He was predeceased by his parents Joe and Elizabeth Granger and his siblings: Bill, Lawrence and Jeannette. He is survived by his wife Betty, and children; Kimberley (Chuck), Adam (Robyn), Shaner and Matthew; grandchildren Justine (Andrew), Brett (Emma), Richard, Peter (Kailey), Ana, and Ireland; great-grandchildren Hazel, and Tecwyn, and sister-in-law Madeleine, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Norm joined the staff of Winnipeg Motor Products at the age of 17 and enjoyed a lifelong career as Leasing Manager at Park Pontiac GMC. Many friendships with his co-workers and clients endured throughout his lifetime due to his strong sense of loyalty, kindness and professionalism.
His interests (outside of work) centered on family, faith, friends, and fun. His summers were spent at the family cottage at Delta Beach. He enjoyed gardening, cribbage, canasta, fly-in fishing trips, and his vehicles.
We would like to give heartfelt thanks to the many relatives and friends who provided so much comfort to Norm and his family with their kindness, love and affection over these past months.
As Norm wished, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery, just outside Poplar Point, MB along MB Highway 26. Directions from Winnipeg: turn north off of highway #1 on to highway #430 and go north to the junction of #430 and highway #26. Turn west onto highway #26 and go for 1/4 mile and the churchyard is on the south side of the highway. There is a small white sign on the side of the highway for St. Anne's Church. Travel down the grassy lane and the church is set back in the wooded area. Funeral signs will be placed along the highway where you are to turn into the churchyard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ronald Moffit Memorial Services of Portage la Prairie, MB.
