Michael Wells Anderson was born on March 17th, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
From 1947-1950, he was a Lineman with the Manitoba Power Commission. From 1950 - 1956, he was the Lead Seaman with Her Majesty's Navy and served on the HMCS Athabaskan and HMCS Magnificent. He was Honourably Discharged on January 12th, 1956. From 1956 - 1960, he worked on the Dewline as an Aircraft Mechanic, and from 1961 - 1964 he was a Marine Mechanic employed by the Minaki Lodge in Northwest Ontario. From 1964 - 1987, he drove semi for Calson Mobile Homes, Lund-Larson Boats, and TransX Trucking.
In 1987, he moved to Vancouver Island and served as a Commissionaire.In 1995, he with his wife Marilyn by his side, opened and operated Goldstream Brew until he retired in 1999.
After his wife's passing in 2001, he purchased a sailboat and returned to the sea - his first love.
In 2005, he returned to Manitoba where he spent his summers on the golf course with his daughter Rosalyn and his golfing buddies - many of whom were much younger than he.
Left to celebrate his passing are his children Bill (Judy) Anderson of British Columbia, Laurel (Bruce) McClinton of Manitoba, Rosalyn DuCharme (Kenneth Vivier) of Manitoba, Kathryn (Chris) Collins of Manitoba, and Michael (Brenda) Anderson of Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers or trees, it is asked that donations be made to a charity of ones choice.
