Mark Powley Ellwood

On Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Portage & District General Hospital, Mark Ellwood passed away with his daughter Sandra at his side, at the age of 70 years.

Predeceased by his parents, Glen and Emily Ellwood and his wife Patricia, Mark is survived by his two daughters; Leanne (Murray) Chapman of Killarney. MB and their children Brooklyn and Audrey with great-granddaughter Emily;  Sandra and her son Austin of Portage la Prairie,   one brother Keith and sister Nancy (Craig) Matthews of Portage la Prairie, nieces Adrian and Leslie Ann and special friend Jean Chartrand.

Mark was the oldest son of the late Glen and Emily Ellwood.  He grew up and attended Portage schools graduating from the Portage Collegiate Institute.

He enjoyed Delta Beach and hunting with his Dad.  Also curling and golf were his favourite hobbies.  Mark was well known in the area as a carpenter and a volunteer fire fighter with the Portage Fire Department.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
