On Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, Louise DeLorme passed away at the Portage District General Hospital with her family and friends.
Louise was born on July 31, 1971 to Georges and Yvonne Laurent in St Claude. She went to school in St Claude from K to grade 12 and continued her education in Winnipeg at Success Business College getting her diploma as an executive assistant. She met her loving husband Dan of 30 years and moved to Portage la Prairie.
She is preceded by her father Georges, brother Normand and father-in-law Russell.
Louise is survived by her mother Yvonne, husband Dan, son Kevin, daughter Jennifer, brother Robert (Suann), niece Danica (Dustin), nephew Devin, sister-in-law Janice, nephew Alex, niece Emma, mother-in-law Beth, extended family and friends. She will also be missed by her canine family Teddy, Scarlet and Bensen.
Louise had many interest including swimming, horse back riding, 4-H, camping, fishing, playing cards, doing puzzles and motorcycling. She especially loved horses and motorcycles. She shared her passion for puzzles, swimming and riding with Jenny. She learned to fish at a young age which she enjoyed with Kevin. Later in life showed an interest and a love for motorcycles and was more than happy to spend many hours with Dan and friends riding around North America. We cannot forget the countless hours playing cards with family and friends.
Louise began her accounting career at Carter Chev/Olds and continued in the car dealership business at Craig Dunn. She then moved on to the Agricultural business at Ag West, Big Sky, Genag then retiring from accounting from Faurschou Ag. She then commence a cherished but short term at Portage Daycare, where she will be missed by many kids.
The family would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre and Portage General Hospital for their care and compassion. An extended gratitude towards friends and colleagues for their attendance at Louise’s celebration of life and continued support. Thank you to everyone you also sent flowers, food, and for all the acts of kindness. Louise love of life and her kind gentle spirit will be missed by everyone. Rest in peace Louise.
