Kelly G. MacKenzie

It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of Kelly Grant MacKenzie on April 3rd, 2021 at his home in Portage.

Kelly was predeceased by his devoted Grandmother Muriel MacKenzie (Paul) of Neepawa. He will be sadly missed every day by his loving Mother Susan (Rob). 

Left to mourn his passing are his beloved children; daughter Molly of Vancouver, and sons Jaden and Brandon of Oakville MB, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many special caring friends. 

Kelly was born in Portage la Prairie on September 11th, 1965. He was a happy, active child who demonstrated from an early age his tremendous joy and ability for sports. He participated in competitive swimming but his main passion was hockey. This was a love he passed on to his sons.  

Kelly faced many challenges in his life, but through it all his love of his family and friends and kindness to others never wavered. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all those who did so much to support Kelly through the difficult times. 

A private memorial service will be held for Kelly at a later date. If friends so wish, donations can be made in his name to the Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) or the Addiction Foundation of Manitoba.
