Julius Roman

It is with sadness that the family of Julius Roman announces his passing on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the age of 83 years. Julius will be remembered by his beloved wife Evelyn, and his children, Robin (Scott) and Shaun (Carla). He was preceded in death by his son Richard (1982).

Julius and Evelyn spent their life farming in Amaranth and raising their family there until retiring in Portage La Prairie in 2005. When he wasn’t farming, Julius loved gardening, fishing, and spending time hunting for the perfect spot to pick berries, asparagus, and mushrooms. We will miss his loving and kind nature and his sarcastic sense of humor.

At Julius’ request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The cremation service has been entrusted to the Ronald Moffit Memorial Services of Portage la Prairie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Julius to the Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 5th St. S.E.
