Joseph "Joe" Waldner Obituary

On August 17, 2020 Joe Waldner passed away peacefully in his home.
He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Maria Waldner, his brothers Paul, Albert , and his sister-in-law Susan .
Left to cherish Joe’s memory are his step-mother Marie, his beloved brothers Jake, Zack (Esther) , Harold  (Maryann) , Mel (Irene) , sister-in-law Sue , and all of his nieces and nephews.
Joe was born on January 4th, 1947 on Sunnyside Colony, near Newton, MB and lived there until 1990 when he moved to Portage la Prairie to work at Jefferies Vegetable Growers until his retirement December 2019.
Joe made the most important decision of his life in his early 40’s when he made Jesus the Lord of his Life and he loved sharing his love for Christ with those he met .
All those who got to know Joe, knew about his passion for electronics. He was the one we would call for help with our technology issues. Joe enjoyed tinkering with old computers, and usually had a collection of them disassembled in his home.
He loved socializing, especially with his beloved Jefferies coworkers whom he missed so much after he retired. His employers and co-workers were like family to him and he enjoyed going back to visit them. We will always be grateful for the bond they shared with him. Joe had a kind and soft heart; he enjoyed helping friends and family.
We would like to thank the many people who helped Joe live his retirement life in comfort.
