Jack Finley McCormick

Jack McCormick passed away on Saturday, April 30th, at the Lion's Prairie Manor. Jack Finley McCormick was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa USA on July 21, 1935 to Don and Nora McCormick and sister Barbara who all predeceased him in death. He worked in many places doing various jobs in the USA. He married Lois Vust in 1983 and they continued to live in the states. They moved to Manitoba in 2017. He served the Lord with his singing voice and also teaching from the Bible. He memorized many verses and enjoyed reading the Bible because he knew the author so well. He also enjoyed books, Gospel music, children and fellowshipping with believers. He will be missed by the Vust family, one niece Elizabeth and her family, and a host of friends. Special thanks to Pastor Larry Bird, Lion's Manor, and for all who supported Jack during his declining health.

The viewing for Jack will take place on May 5th, 2022, at Ronald Moffit Memorial Services, 306 Saskatchewan Ave. E. in Portage la Prairie, MB, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. PLEASE NOTE: this viewing will be taking place simultaneously at Moffit's as the viewing for Jack's brother in-law, Frank Vust. 

The Graveside Service for Jack McCormick will take place on Monday, May 9th, at 1:00 pm, at the Prospect Cemetery, located on Rd. 72 North, 2 &1/2 miles west of highway 240. There will be a gathering for fellowship after the burial taking place at Queen’s Court, 1201 Saskatchewan Avenue East, Portage la Prairie, MB. The Come and Go Reception will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. All are welcome to come.
