Helen Eleanor (Entze) Arnott

Helen passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at the Portage General Hospital at the age of 72 years, with family by her side.

Helen was born in Portage la Prairie, MB. daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Entze.    She grew up and attended local schools, graduating from the Portage Collegiate Institute.

In 1969 she married Don Arnott.  They lived in Winnipeg for a short time before moving to Portage la Prairie.  For the past 16 years her home was in MacGregor, MB.  Helen moved to the Lion’s Prairie Manor in September 2018 where she lived until the time of her passing.

She was a wife, mother, grandma, auntie and friend to all who knew her.

Predeceased by her husband Don in 2018, her parents and most of her siblings, she is survived by one daughter Dawn Garrioch (Sean), 2 grandsons; Ryan and Brett (Brooklyn) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen came into the world a fighter on December 16, 1947 and she left desiring life the same way.

The family wish to thank the staff at the Lion’s Prairie Manor for the great care and compassion shown to Helen during her stay there.

A private grave side service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
