Edward Ray (Nick) Nicholls

Peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019 Edward “Ray” Nicholls “Nick” passed away at the age of 71 years.

“Nick” was born on September 27. 1947 in Portage and lived his entire life in the Portage area.

Ray had various jobs during his life, but painting was one of his favourites.

Ray was predeceased by his father, Archie Nicholls and nephew Kevin Nicholls.  He will be remembered by his mother Rose, sister  Wendy, brother Larry (Maureen) of Killarney and sister Marlene (Bob) Pragnell, nephews Christopher Quigley of New York City and Kelly (Vicky, Alex and Ronin) of High Level, Alberta and niece Kristen Clow of Portage.

Ray spent his last six years at the Lion’s Prairie Manor on Parkside and the family would like to thank the staff of the unit who have looked after him with kindness and compassion through the years.

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
