Donnee Patricia Pelechaty Interment Announcement

The late Donnee Patricia Pelechaty (nee Hargreaves), who passed away on February 13th, 2020, has been laid to rest in the family plot. The Private Burial took place on Friday, September 6th, 2024. Forever Loved, Forever Remembered.

Donnee Pelechaty

During sleepless nights

I pretend the past isn't real

It brings back how much I used to feel

So much sadness in my life

I  never knew things would change so fast

Your not here and I'm alone

Trying to fight this growing pain

I feel so empty

So much crying, I feel like dying

This one is for you

These words aren't brand new

Though it's coming from the heart

Thank you for the life you have given me.

Sleepless nights; endless dreams

Words inside my heart

Stay in there although we are apart

Feel those tears coming in my eyes

I try not to cry

A shooting sensation in my eyes

I can't do this anymore

You're gone: you wafted away

I'm colder than the ocean breeze

You are too far gone 

Can't you stay with me!

One silent tear falls from my eye

You're the only place that I put myself

No hopes or dreams

Can fill my fumbling days

Day after day

I slowly go insane

To hear your voice

If I see you next to never

How can we say forever?

I will be waiting for you

Whatever it takes

My heart breaks

I hear your laughter; taste your tears

To watch you leaving

To know I have lost my place

On Earth

Where did all the time go?

I will say goodbye to you

Not forever

Only for now.

The following tribute was written by Laura Hargreaves for her late Mother, Donnee Patricia Pelechaty.

"Mom had a beautiful soul that matched her smile. She was a flirt with a wicked sense of humour. 

Donnée was extremely creative; she created outfits for Barbie dolls; embroidered bedspreads and macramé window coverings for the sunroom. 

Mom was an elegant woman. One of her fashion influences was Jackie Kennedy / Onasis. She altered garments by changing necklines and added coyote fur to the cuffs of a fall wool jacket. 

Mom used cosmetics on her face like watercolour paints on a canvas. She would provide her flair and knowledge to our customers in the Cosmetic department of Hargreaves Drug Store. 

I miss Mom’s sage words of advice and counsel. She wanted Cameron and I to be happy and have balanced, fulfilling and healthy lives. 

Moms’ passion for history and architecture influenced her travel destination. She travelled to Scotland, Portugal and Mexico. Her home was filled with antiques as well as black clay sculptures by internationally renowned artist Felguerez."

Burial arrangements were entrusted to Ronald Moffit Memorial Services.
