Dolores M.J. (Cloutier) Sareault

On Friday, April 28, 2023 at Action Marguerite St. Vital, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, beloved widow of Jean Sareault passed away at the age of 90 years old.

Dolores was born on July 29, 1932, daughter of Gabriel and Lumina Cloutier of St Norbert, Manitoba.

At a young age, Dolores would chip in on the family farm wherever she was needed, often found cooking for the large family or driving a stick shift grain truck, Dolo never said no when she was needed. Dolo went to school to be a hairdresser, graduating in January, 1956.

After Graduating, Dolo worked at Roland's Hair Styling and later at the Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie as a hair dresser. Fixing styles for her LOL’s (Little old Lady’s). Dolo loved her clients, often found singing “Bottle of wine makes me feel fine” or “Itsy bitsy teeny wienie yellow polka dot bikini”, or 5’2” eyes of blue, coochy coochy coochy coo” to them, bringing a smile to everyone’s face. 

At home Dolores could be found making the house a home and ensuring everyone felt welcome.

Dolores was devoted to her faith, enjoying her local congregations pool parties, trips around the world including Jerusalem. The relationship she had with her church family was so heartwarming to hear her talk about, we knew our parents were in good hands.

Predeceased by her parents, husband and many brothers and sisters, Dolores is survived by her children, Jean-Rene - a.k.a. JR, (MaryAnn) and their children Jillian (Andrew) and Jacob; Pierre (Tracey) and their children Jessika and Travis, and Richard (a.k.a. Rico. Her sisters Denise, Gabrielle, Cecile, and Marie and many nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, Dolo would adore if we all took a moment to do something nice for someone else, a gift of kindness.

The funeral Service for Dolores will take place on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at The Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 1125 SASKATCHEWAN AVE E, Portage la Prairie, MB with inurnment taking place at Hillside Cemetery following the service.
