Peacefully with family by her side, Deborah Leona Chalifoux passed away on Wednesday April 16th, 2025 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 67 years.
Deb was the daughter of Alexander and Ellen Chalifoux. She was raised and received her education in Portage la Prairie, MB where she remained a life long resident.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Terrance and sister Donna, and step-son Darryl.
Left to cherish her memory, her significant other Victor Vivier, her step-children David, Dean (Wendy), Dion (Cheryl), Kim, and Shane (Cynthia) who was her step grandchild but she considered him her son and Cynthia a daughter.
Also mourning Deb’s passing are her brothers; Brian Chalifoux of Surrey BC, and Randy (Lynn) Chalifoux of Oshawa ON, sisters Cheryl (John) Williamson of Coquitlam BC, Janice (Yves) Verville of Abbotsford BC, Sylvia (Wayne) Brown of Whitecourt AB, Marcia (Jim) Duggan of Portage la Prairie MB, Rhonda (Mike) McDonell of St. Albert AB, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Deb will be deeply missed by her Aunt Shirley and best friend Louise.
Past-time activities Deb enjoyed were word search puzzles, listening to the Sunday Morning Request Show on CFRY Radio, playing cards, bingo, and family get-togethers. Every year on her birthday, she looked forward to celebrating it with her nephew Keiran and great granddaughter Berkley who shared the same birthdate.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
