Carl Joseph St. Goddard

On January 22, 2018 Carl Joseph St. Goddard came to rest into the arms of Christ our Saviour.

A life long member of the St. Ambroise Community, Carl leaves behind to uphold his memory, the love of his life for 47 years, his wife Theresa (Lu-Lu), his only son Curt (Trey), his only daughter Serena (Mike) Suderman, his only grandchild Lydia, his special sister-in-law and best room mate Beaver, his faithful companion and man’s best friend, his dog Sparky.

Carl was born on October 16, 1948 in Portage la Prairie, son of William and Ida St. Goddard

Carl was raised and educated in St. Ambroise.  It was here that he lived, played and taught the people he cherished the most.

Carl was roofer by trade his whole life.  He was a hunter, fisherman, a buddy, a partner and a mentor to all who loved him.

The quiet assurance of his ways and who he was as a man were all based on his firm belief in God.

Carl will be remembered by his sisters; Wilna (Reg), Wilda (Tony), Helen, Linda (Porky), Sharon (Teddy), Sandy, Mary (Marcel) and Darlene (Albert).  He will be missed by his brothers; Jerry (Rose), Raymond (Lynn) and Buck (Paula).

Carl was predeceased by his father William St. Goddard, his mother Ida St. Goddard and his brother Donald St. Goddard.

Left to continue his legacy he leaves behind special nephews, Anthony, Fred and Harry, countless nieces, cousins and his many friends because there are many.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Ambriose Catholic Church, St. Ambroise, MB. with Reverend Father Gerald Langvin conducting.  A reception will follow in the Community Hall.
