Candace Gertrude (Adams) Crawford

With her loving husband by her side, Candace Crawford passed away on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at the age of 75 years old.  Candace called Portage la Prairie, MB, home for the past 45 years.  Candace was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on February 10th, 1947.  Daughter of William Andrew Adams and Mildred Martha Robertson.  She met her husband of 54 years and the love story between them never ended. She completed her Nursing Diploma and found the love of her life. She leaves her beloved forever partner, husband, and best friend, Ken Crawford, to cherish their memories.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; sons Kenneth Crawford Jr. (Kyla), Brian Crawford (Kendra), and Jeffery Crawford (Kayla); and seven Grandchildren: Trista Dubreuil, Rylan Crawford, Jace Crawford, Laine Johnston, Cordien Johnston, Carson Crawford, and Peyton Crawford. Over the years, she had many others call her mom or grandma who were very special and dear to her heart.

Mom loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They gave her so much pleasure whenever they were able to visit.  Every visit ended with a special hug.  She was sure to send cards and a gift on special occasions.  She loved to see the joy in her family and see them grow. 

Candace worked for over 24 years at the Manitoba Developmental Centre and left a lasting impact on the residents and staff she worked with. 

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service.
