On Thursday, December 4th, 2025, Brenda after years of health struggles, left behind her husband Robert of 54 years and daughter Francine (Kevin) Jennifer (Greg) and grandchildren Brooke, Larsen (Nicki), Ainsley and Emily, her Brothers Trevor (Carolyn), Dale and Terry (Dorothy), and her Sister Diane.
She was predeceased by her parents Isaac and Agnes Neustater and her in-laws Ivan and Ivy Taylor.
Brenda was very curious and talented and loved her animals. Her family always had birds, hamsters, cats and a pup. When Brenda moved to the farm she had a couple of sheep, goats, fancy chickens and a couple of ponies along with her jersey cows. When Brenda and Robert moved to Newton she took Harriet the goat and the two horses!
Brenda had talent in sewing dresses for her young girls, weaving and water color painting and photography and plants.
Brenda volunteered with the Manitoba Agricultural Museum for several years. She loved dressing in character and teaching the visitors and school tours a bit of history. The Prairie Dog Central was one where Robert joined first and then Brenda did a couple of summers. The CPR station at Christmas was also a good way to teach history especially since we used the Via Rail to travel to BC and Alberta several times. Brenda and Robert also went by Via to Halifax, Churchill twice and also to Prince Rupert.
Brenda was diagnosed with leukemia in 2008 and it has been a long fight for her since then with many trips to Winnipeg and the Portage hospital.
We would like to thank the Cancer Care drivers who took such good care of her. Thank you also to her friends who would continue phoning her to make her world a bit bigger and brighter. Thanks also to the Portage Hospital staff who cared for her so many stays.
As per her wishes, family will celebrate her life privately at a later date.
Ronald Moffit Memorial Services of Portage la Prairie, MB in care of arrangements.
