Andrew John Stewart

Andrew Stewart passed away at the Health Sciences Centre Intensive Care Unit on June 2nd, 2023 as a result of a car crash on April 25th, 2023.

He is survived by his companion of 38 years, Laurie Matthews and his brother Edward. He was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Joan Stewart.

He spent his working days in the personal care field serving at Lions Prairie Manor and MDC. His greatest joy in life was his little dog and going to the thrift store looking for new books. Early retirement was taken due to heath concerns.

“I (Laurie) would like to thank the first responders, the people in Portage emergency, and the staff at HSC intensive care who worked hard to try and make him better. Especially, Brett.”

A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Portage la Prairie, MB. Please dress casual.
