Alvin Bjorn Stinson

Peacefully, with family by his side, Al passed away May 1st, 2022, at the Potage District General Hospital.

Al is survived by his wife Gertie of 63 years, sons Gord (Wendy) and Chris (Heather), grandsons Kelly (Kim) and William, granddaughter Brooke, great-granddaughters Preslee and Nevaeh, sister Evelyn (Glen), and numerous nieces and nephews.

We, the family, would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at the Portage Hospital for the care they provided Al and to Paulette at Central Plains Cancer Care. Special thanks to Dr. Ross, the doctors at Cancer Care, the nurses and homecare workers who saw Al while he was at home, and to the ambulance attendants for their care and compassion. Thank you to our friends and family who sent flowers, cards, and food. Special thanks to Gail for running around and calling to check in. Also, thank you to Jesse Allard from Ronald Moffit Memorial Services.
