Verne Garnham

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of “Vernon Stanley Garnham” at the Portage General Hospital in the early morning of October 24, just shy of his 80th birthday.

Leaving to morn his larger than life memory are his wife Jane (of almost 60years), 5 children; Debbie (Dale), Bernadette, Tamara (Garth) Lisa (Micheal) and Anthony.  Grandchildren:  Jessica, Crystal (Chris), Sean, Amy (Adam), Jessie , Tyson and Eugene.  Great-grandchildren; Mei Lian, Vaeda, and Kennedy, as well as special cousin Doug (May) Garnham.  Also his sisters: Shirley (Dave) and Janice (Danny) and brother Bryan. Best friend Cisco He is predeceased by his parents Ruth and Alvin Garnham, his brother Roy Garnham and his sister Melba Bruinooge.

His love of family, farming and friends was of utmost importance to him and what kept him going especially throughout his illness.

Thank you to the Doctors and nurses involved in his care as well as the support from countless family and friends.

Please join us for an informal time of celebration this Saturday, October 26, 2019 at  1:30 p.m. in the Herman Prior Center.
