Donalda Marie (Soanes) Labossiere

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved mom and grandma, Donalda Labossiere, following a long hard battle with her health issues.  She passed away at the Portage and District General Hospital on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the age of 65 years.

Donalda was born in Melfort, Sk. on April 24, 1953 daughter of  Harold and Mary Soanes.

She has resided in Portage la Prairie since 1989.

In her early years Mom loved cooking, bowling, camping, family trips and to have family gatherings.  In recent years she enjoyed listening to live country folk music, watching her grandchildren in 4H events and dance recitals, going out for dinners, BBQ’s and joining in on activities like bowling, curling, Karaoke at the Douglas Campbell Lodge where she lived.  However, most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Donalda leaves to mourn; her two daughters; Michelle (Marcus) Jonas and Dawn (Kelly) Cullen.  Also grandchildren; Pierre, Jasmine, Karlie, Kyla, Logan, Shannandra, Dominique, Allishia, Jade, Brody, Ricky, Joshua and Jordan, plus nieces and nephews.   She is also survived by her sisters; Margaret (Jim) Hawco, Sharon, Charlotte (Jim), Thelma (Dennis) and Nanette (Darren) and one brother, Richard (Brenda) Soanes.  She was predeceased by her mother Mary Wrennick, her very special love Doug Bedford and her brother Allen Soanes and brother-in-law Don Grosh

In keeping with Mom’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.  A come and go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 1 – 4 p. m., at 104 – 701 Crescent Road E, Portage la Prairie.
