Jean Hamilton - Young Obituary

Jean Fortune Hamilton-Young passed away peacefully on April 23rd, 2024 at the age of 78 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, where she spent most of her life. Jean was very proud of her family’s contributions and roots in the community.

Jean will be missed by her son, Stuart Young (Tamara), her Canadian friends and friends in Acapulco, where she spent many happy winters. We will miss hearing her stories and opinions on everything.

Thank you to the staff of Portage District General Hospital for their compassionate care in Jean’s last days.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes, there will be no service. We invite you to raise a glass of Pepsi (not diet) to toast her memory. Memorial donations can be made to Sunset Palliative Care at sunsetpalliativecare.org
